The gelding broke his maiden at start six .

It was only a few hours later For A Reason sired another winner, this time at Redcliffe when three-year-old gelding Whatta Good Reason saluted the judge for the fourth time in his career.

Success continued for For A Reason at Penrith later that night where he sired a double.

The first to win was three-year-old filly The Amber Hare who broke her maiden at her fourth start in a mile rate of 1:58.4.

For A Reason’s double was brought up with two-year-old filly Paintmeareason, who now boasts record of two wins and as many placings in six starts.

The following day at Newcastle, For A Reason had yet another winner, this time with the two-year-old filly Mystical Jazz That clocked 1:58.7.
