After a training double in Launceston on Friday night, Pipers River trainer Marc Butler will be hoping that his winning run continues in Hobart on Sunday.

Butler has two runners engaged on the eight-race card including last start winner Raymonds Judge in the Ladbrokes Pace, a rating 50 to 59 event over 2090 metres.

The gelded son of Mr Feelgood has drawn the pole in the 2090-metre trip with Rohan Hillier, the leading driver in the state this season, booked for the drive.

“He has a good chance if he can lob in front again,” said trainer Marc Butler.

The four-year-old pacer broke his maiden status in Launceston last time out on 28 June where he led throughout to score by 7.7-metres.

“Last start when he got left in front he started switching on and off, but with a bit of luck there will be something up outside him, and he will keep finding I reckon,” Butler explained.

The other runner for Butlers Pipers River stable making the trek down the Midlands Highway is Full Speed Ahead in the final race of the night, the Triple M Hobart Claimer.

The Art Major gelding has drawn the second row with his $12,000 price tag in the 2090-metre event.

Full Speed Ahead was placed in the Devonport Cup four starts ago and was third behind Sea Double Ugrant when first-up from a spell in Hobart on 26 June.

“He went good last start; he needs the right run again. Hopefully, he can get the right run into it, and he will be there about,” said the trainer.

Butlers double in Launceston included Sermac who broke her maiden status at start five, leading all the way to score.

“It looked her race and your halfway home when you can lead up,” said Butler about the Auckland Reactor mare who was driven by Ricky Duggan.

“I will give her a week off and then look for a suitable race, she has the Granny Smith later in the year,” added the trainer.

The trainer’s last leg of his double on the Launceston card was Beachboy Butch (pictured) who sustained a long run from the back of the field to score.

“He went very good, but it was a huge drop in class with the concession claim for Ben Woodsford,” explained Butler.

Sunday night’s Hobart card commences at 17:06 where there is a $4,000 Exacta Jackpot on the first two races plus a $4,000 Any 2 Jackpot on races four and five.

The meeting is open to the public with full facilities in operation under social distancing regulations if you can’t make it trackside you can catch the action on TasracingTV and Sky Racing 1.
