Friday’s Gloucester Park meeting features the Westbred 3YO Classics for the fillies and the colts ande geldings. Patrickthepiranha, pictured above, won last year’s Westbred Classic for the colts and geldings.

RACE 1 – TABTOUCH PACE

1.Luke Edwards (Bracken Sky): “Very happy with the horse. Can lead and win.”

5.Justin Prentice (Back In Twenty): “He will be driven quietly. He will be held up and saved for one run and I think he goes better that way. He felt good in his last run.”

6.Aldo Cortopassi (Marquisard): “It will be tricky for him from the draw. We will look for a hole off the gate. He’s a hard horse to catch.”

9.Giles Inwood (Captain Mannering): “Draw makes it tough. Knocking on the door. He will win when he draws.”

10.Greg Bond (Courage Tells): “Good draw for him. He will be on the fence and if the gaps come he will hit the line strongly.”

11.Shannon Suvaljko (Qtown Rip Roaring): “Unlucky last start. Good draw. Each-way.”

12.Dylan Egerton-Green (Allwood Peacemaker): “Needs luck.”

RACE 2 – COMMUNITY TAB PACE

1.Aldo Cortopassi (Cyclone Banner): “Come back well from a spell and is probably a length or two better. We will run the gate and be positive.

3.Shannon Suvaljko (A Boy Named Rosie): “Going well but needs luck. Place chance.”

4.Ross Olivieri (Gee Jay Kay): “Trialled well. Can win the race. The one horse is favoured by the draw so it makes mine a place chance.”

5.Gary Hall Snr (Our Rhythm N Blues): “Drawn wide. Will have a bit of trouble getting into it.”

7.Dylan Egerton-Green (Our Mista Kalle): “Working well. Draw is probably a bit too hard. He will be driven to run on at the end.”

8.Kyle Harper (Black Jack Zac): “Returns from a good spell. Expect him to come back a better horse from it. Hard from the draw.”

9.Chris Voak (Bolta): “Draw takes him out of it. Going well. Just has to wait his turn to get a draw.”

RACE 3 – PACING WA SUPPORTS WA BRED PACE

1.Ross Olivieri (Dennis): “He will attempt to lead. He can lead or sit behind the leader. Something would need to show some serious speed to cross him. Got ability and can run a quick half.”

2.Greg Bond (Infatuation): “Good race for him. Good last start. He should lead and be the one to beat.”

3.Dylan Egerton-Green (Machs Gold): “They ran a quick last half last week which made it hard for him. Will work forward with the two and if the right horse comes around we will get cover.”

4.Aiden De Campo (Walsh): “Racing well but it’s a tricky draw.”

9.Gary Hall Snr (Master Publisher): “Hard to beat the two. He’s going well though. Good run last start. He’s a nice horse.”

12.Chris Voak (Boom Time): “Should improve off last week. He will improve sharply and needs to. He’s a place chance.”

RACE 4 – RETRAVISION PACE

1.Giles Inwood (Gangbuster): “Working super. Up in class but will be holding the front and hopefully earning. Got to take advantage of barrier one.”

2.Gary Hall Snr (Tuas Delight): “Probably looks too strong of a race for him.”

3.Gary Hall Snr (Mr Kiwi): “Getting better. Needs a draw to lead though.”

4.Dylan Egerton-Green (Our Perkins): “We will assess the speed early. We will look to use his speed and look for cover at some point.”

6.Giles Inwood (Bettor Party): “Racing super. If the pace is on he’s a good each-way chance. Best he has worked for me this week.”

8.Gary Hall Snr (Robbie Easton): “Should be winning, or go very close at least.”

10.Chris Voak (Ultimate Offer): “Tricky draw. The three of Snr’s will be hard to beat. He has the class to overcome it.”

12.Aiden De Campo (Baylan Jett): “Each-way from the draw. Racing well and it’s a good trailing draw. If the speed is on he will be running home.”

RACE 5 – ALLWOOD STUD FARM 3YO FILLIES WESTBRED CLASSIC

1.Aldo Cortopassi (Star Fromthepalace): “Think we’ve got to hold up. Double Expresso is on our back and I’m not sure what she will do. My horse is a lot better when she leads. Will drive positively and see what happens.”

2.Gary Hall Snr (Alta Cinderella): “I think she’s better than anything in the race. She’s inexperienced which could be her downfall. She’s strong and fast and a very good filly.”

3.Chris Voak (Star Of Diamonds): “Excellent run last start. Just beaten in a photo finish. The draw is tricky but she should be able to position near the leaders. Each-way chance.”

4.Gary Hall Snr (Advance Your Dream): “She needs a draw to lead. Don’t know where she gets from there.”

5.Aiden De Campo (Blue Chip Adda): “Last two runs have been super. She’s got high speed. Just needs the race run genuinely.

6.Greg Bond (Intheskyrocket): “Ran third in the Oaks so she’s going well. The draw hurts. If it’s a good pace then she can run top four.”

7.Justin Prentice (Suing You): “Her two runs before last start she was back to the horse we think she is. The draw doesn’t help her. Hopefully it’s run upside down.”

8.Colin Brown (Fifty Five Reborn): “The barrier draw has devastated me.”

10.Ross Olivieri (Double Expresso): “Will leave it to Chris. Very well in herself. It’s a question of whether he can get out.”

11.Jocelyn Young (Blockjorg): “Drawn to be close enough to the front. Will be fitter after her last effort and should be right in the finish.”

12.Dylan Egerton-Green (Sports Package): “Probably got options from there. I can drop to the back of the 11 and follow her or I’m happy enough to be three-back. Confident she will be top five.”

RACE 6 – ALLWOOD STUD FARM 3YO COLTS AND GELDINGS WESTBRED CLASSIC

1.Colin Brown (Adda Pocket Rinse): “Raced fierce, hit a knee and disappointed last start. Hoping gear changes help.”

2.Maddison Brown (Longreach Bay): “Hopefully find the top again with his gate speed and take it from there. Obviously a step up in class but he was good to the line last start.”

3.Aiden De Campo (Keptain Courageous): “Press forward from the gate. Touch outclassed. The run last week wasn’t terrible though.”

4.Shannon Suvaljko (Miracle Max): “Has done a terrific job so far and it was a good run last start. Harder here. Look for him to improve in coming weeks.”

5.Justin Prentice (The Stars Above): “Going really well. Didn’t have a lot of luck and hit the line well. Just not sure where he lobs.”

7.Kyle Harper (Al Guerrero): “Nice horse but the draw hurts.”

8.Justin Prentice (Manning): “Not sure where he gets from the draw. Went well last start just the quick last quarter didn’t suit.”

9.Greg Bond (Manifestly Excesiv): “Barrier draw probably puts him out of it.”

10.Greg Bond (Poisedtopounce): “Won five in the stands now. Racing well and the back row draw suits. He’s a lot more tractable when he can follow a helmet. Not without a chance.”

11.Justin Prentice (Gardys Legacy): “Dependent on how the race is run. Really happy with how he’s going. He can get into a forward position if the two crosses the one, but it will depend how many from wide out go forward.”

12.Justin Prentice (Aristocratic Star): “Thought he went well considering the circumstances last start. Thought he would drop right out with the times they were running. He can follow Gardys Legacy wherever he goes.”

RACE 7 – WESTRAL PACE

1.Ross Olivieri (Jimmy Mack): “Got speedy horses drawn around him. Ran a credible fourth first-up. Genuine each-way chance.”

2.Chris Voak (Dominate The Dojo): “Wouldn’t have thought we could cross the one. Has got the option to get on Jimmy Mack’s back.”

5.Gary Hall Snr (Mister Bushido): “Place chance. Needs luck.”

7.Aiden De Campo (Bettor Be Oscar): “Looks to be a bit of speed. Hope they all go forward. We will go back.”

8.Dylan Egerton-Green (Bletchley Park): “Ready to win. Crying for a draw. On paper there’s enough speed early.”

9.Aldo Cortopassi (Naval Aviator): “Bit of toe in it early. If they go hard he’s in it.”

RACE 8 – CHOICES FLOORING FILLIES & MARES FFA

1.Colin Brown (Typhoon Tiff): “Should lead. If it’s an honest run race she can win.”

3.Gary Hall Snr (Just Rockon Bye): “If she’d drawn inside the one we could’ve beaten her. We will try run a place.”

4.Dylan Egerton-Green (Nowuseemesmile): “She’ll duck to the rail. Run on well.”

5.Ross Olivieri (Madame Meilland): “Might be forced to breeze. She has raced well there previously.”

6.Chris Voak (Queen Shenandoah): “Won’t breeze. With an ounce of luck she will be in the finish.”

7.Aiden De Campo (Delightfulreaction): “We will go back and sit her up. Her last start was good.”

8.Kyle Harper (Parisian Partygirl): “Flying. Needs a bit of luck with her style. Each-way.”

RACE 9 – WINTER CUP

1.Shannon Suvaljko (Tommy Be Good): “Freshened-up. Good draw and right distance so he has good place claims.”

2.Greg Bond (Our Jimmy Johnstone): “Would think he’d find the front. He will run his honest race. Not too many are going better than him.”

3.Greg Bond (Ocean Ridge): “Racing well. Expect him to follow Jimmy across and get a good trail.”

4.Greg Bond (Mighty Santana): “Good first-up. Not sure how it pans out from the draw for him.”

6.Gary Hall Snr (Chicago Bull): “He’s a winning chance. Bondy’s horses hold the key. If Bully wins I know he’s going well.”

7.Chris Voak (Vultan Tin): “Draw hurts. Makes him a place chance.”

RACE 10 – WESTSIRED 2YO COLTS & GELDINGS PACE)

1.Colin Brown (Arma Einstein): “We tested his gate speed last week. He’s very hard to get over on the track. I like him.”

2.Dylan Egerton-Green (Regal Aura): “The one will be hard to beat. Happy to sit at the wheel of the leader. Going okay without being super.”

4.Shannon Suvaljko (Robbie Rocket): “Racing very well. Can never be left out of each-way claims.

6.Chris Voak (Star Of Willoughby): “Suitable class for him. Tough draw. He will be saved for one run late.”

7.Aiden De Campo (Squeezeme Pleaseme): “Needs luck.”

9.Justin Prentice (Troopingofthecolour): “Good drive from Jnr last week. Improving horse but I have no idea where he ends up from the draw.”

10.Kyle Harper (Pattitude): “Very impressive first-up. Back line draw doesn’t suit. Could be a handful from behind. Likes to get on the bit.”

RACE 11 – WESTSIRED 2YO FILLIES PACE

2.Chris Voak (Black Jack Baby): “She’s my best drive on the card. Broke 27 last start and has beaten the boys on three occasions. Stand out 2yo filly in WA.”

3.Dylan Egerton-Green (Star For Me): “She disappointed me at Pinjarra. She’s just not up to leading and copping pressure. Hopefully she can be three the fence.”

4.Shannon Suvaljko (Follow My Stride): “Needs luck but has place claims.”

8.Kyle Harper (She’s A Bright Star): “Racing well without luck. Barrier draw doesn’t favour but a great place chance if the pace is honest.”

9.Ross Olivieri (Our Shooting Star): “Was hoping for a draw. Thought it was a race she could win if she did. The two horse is clearly hard to bear. Will need a superb drive from Lewis here.”
