Cranbourne 16/11

R1 – 5:10pm – Mark Gurry & Associates Trot - 2080m

10 – Ti Amo

5 – Spirited Lass

4 – Silent Reverie

9 – Majestic Charma

Strategy:

Ti Amo has come back well this preparation, and while he’s always shown ability, he’s also mixed his gait at crucial moments. The booking of Chris Alford is a big plus to help ensure tractability, and the middle-distance trip suits from this draw.

BACK: 10 Ti Amo – 2 Units (win)

R2 – 5:50pm – Kruezy Tips Pace – 2080m

1 – Speedy Healey

4 – Tophut Johny

2 – Wingate Guy

7 – Our True Colours

R3 – 6:30pm – NZB Standardbred Pace – 1609m

2 – Netra

3 – Rolinginthedeep

12 – Montana Pride

6 – Indi Party Mood

R4 – 7:05pm – Decron Horse Care Pace – 1609m

8 – Tex Goes Bang

1 – Allheartnoheight

9 – Lochinvar Charm

10 – Pappa Leo

R5 – 7:37pm – Hygain Maiden Pace – 1609m

7 – Romeo

5 – Normans Girl

2 – Tarzina

11 – My Machete

R6 – 8:12pm – Hip Pocket Workwear & Safety Mornington Maiden Trot – 1609m

10 – Frikshyn

2 – Sebs Gal

7 – Adelaide Red

3 – Mi Bow

R7 – 8:47pm – Cranbourne Fencing Pace – 2080m

6 – Razor Horizon

9 – Rocknlena

1 – Theroux

4 – Tommys Lookout

Strategy:

I’ve had a strong opinion of Razor Horizon ever since his runner-up finish in a high-quality Melton race back in September, and he hasn’t done much since to dampen that view. He takes on older opposition here, but this looks a winnable race to notch up another victory.

BACK: 6 Razor Horizon – 3.5 Units (win)

R8 – 9:25pm – Worlds Best Hoof Oil Pace – 1609m

9 – Emily Vincent

4 – Bulldog Khan

2 – Galaxy Lass

8 – Scheming

Strategy:

Emily Vincent brings strong Melton form, having finished a terrific runner-up there last time out. She’ll need some luck from the back row at her first look at Cranbourne, but the booking of James Herbertson is a major positive. Expect her to be storming home late.

BACK: 9 Emily Vincent – 2.5 Units (win)

R9 – 9:52pm – Aldebaran Park Trot – 1609m

1 – Charleston Avenue

10 – Faith Full

3 – Scar

2 – Tough Mate

Strategy:

Charleston Avenue can improve sharply after just an even effort last start when up in class. A bold on-speed type with good gate speed, he gets the perfect draw to find the top and roll along at his own tempo. He’ll take plenty of catching.

BACK: 1 Charleston Avenue – 2 Units (win)
