Champion reinsman John McCarthy has been called in to drive for his daughter in-law at Menangle tonight.

McCarthy will take the reins behind the Belinda McCarthy-trained The Honey Queen in the Group 3 Teeny Teeny Stakes.

The 17-time Group 1 winning reinsman has scaled back his driving this season and has driven seven winners this year with his last winner being Soviet Stunner at Newcastle on August 12.

As for Belinda McCarthy, the leading metropolitan trainer also has Fairy Tinkabell engaged in tonight’s feature but her attention will be split interstate with runners also engaged in heats of the Inter Dominion at Geelong tonight.

Her starters include Alta Orlando in the first pacing heat, then Expensive Ego in the second pacing heat and a two-pronged attack in the third pacing heat with A Gs White Socks and Spirit Of St Louis.
