Four-year-old mare Whey Batter recorded her second win of the season, when scoring her third career victory in Hobart on Friday night.
Owned, bred and trained by Mark Geeves, the four-year-old daughter of Betterthancheddar was sent out at odds of $19, despite the mare recording a win in Hobart in mid-April.
From inside of the second-row, reinsman Paul Ashwood positioned the mare one-out and one-back over the mile trip before being produced out three-wide near the 400m point, proving too tough for Graphite Stride over the concluding stages.
The mile was ran in 1m 58.9s, the quickest winning mile rate for the mare, who is eligible for the Group 2 Granny Smith later in the season, with the date and venue still to be publicly announced.
Streetside Classic recorded his eighth career win later in the night as the nine-year-old gelded son of Metropolitan edges closer to the $100,000 mark in prize money.
It was a confident drive early by in-form concession reinsman Liam Older, who took the pacer straight to the lead from outside of the front row and he rated the pacer well in front before kicking away around the home bend.
Although getting tired late, the David Bates-owned and trained pacer was able to hold off the late challenge by race favourite Jack James.
Nathan Ford took driving honours at the meeting with a winning double.
He drove Sunrose Master to victory for his partner Bianca Heenan before scoring on the Ben Yole prepared gelding Slingshot.
Slingshot was one of four winners on the card for Yole, who also prepared; The Dude (Jordan Chibnall), Velocity Stride (Mitch Ford) and Brian Who (Conor Crook).
Yole also had success at Yarra Valley (Victoria) with Good Feelings, who won the last race of the card.
Credit must be given to the track stuff who did an outstanding job to present the track in magnificent order after significant rainfall leading up to the race meeting.
