With 26 Group 1 wins to his name premiership-winning trainer Paul Fitzpatrick is in search of another at Menangle tonight. 

Fitzpatrick has Captain Ritchie engaged in the $150,000 Australian Pacing Gold Bullion Final – one of the four Group 1 races at Menangle tonight. 

Captain Ritchie has won his last two starts and rated a personal best one minute and 53.8 seconds to win his APG qualifier last week. 

It was the fastest of the two heats with My Ultimate Snowy winning the other qualifier in one minute and 54.2 seconds. 

Trained by Jarrod Alchin, My Ultimate Snowy has remained unbeaten in his three starts to date and is the favourite to win tonight’s clash. 

He is one of five horses Alchin has across tonight’s Group 1 races including the likes of Madrid and My Ultimate Byron.
