Harness Racing NSW (HRNSW) is pleased to advise that Mr Clint Bentley has been appointed as the Chairman of Stewards to replace Mr Grant Adams effective from Friday 25th June 2021.

Mr Bentley has been a Senior Steward with HRNSW since 2017 and prior to that was the Chairman of Stewards at Greyhound Racing NSW from 2009 to 2016.

“Following an extensive recruitment process it is pleasing to be able to advise participants of the appointment of Mr Bentley,” Chief Executive John Dumesny stated.

“He (Clint) is well versed in the strong policies and advanced practices of the HRNSW integrity division following his move to harness racing.”

“I would like to thank the HRNSW Board and John Dumesny for the opportunity to succeed Grant Adams in the role of Chairman of Stewards at HRNSW” incoming Chairman Clint Bentley expressed.

“Grant leaves the role in an enviable position and I look forward to working with Michael Prentice and the Stewards of HRNSW to continue to drive a high standard of integrity and welfare standards.” Bentley concluded.

“On behalf of the Board and NSW Industry at large I extend the gratitude of all to the outgoing Chairman of Stewards Grant Adams who has relocated with his family to Victoria for his dedication to the role over the past decade.” John Dumesny stated.

“Although looking forward to my next chapter, I can’t thank the HRNSW Board, John Dumesny, Michael Prentice and all the Integrity Staff enough for their support and effort over the past 11 years and of most recent times as Chairman of Stewards,” Mr Adams said.

“HRNSW are in good hands with the newly appointed Chairman of Stewards Mr Bentley and I wish him all success in his new position.”

Mr Adams will take up a role with Harness Racing Victoria.

The Integrity Division at HRNSW will be maintained with a replacement for Mr Bentley and strengthened through additional strategic resources and a restructure.
