RACE 2 – SHELFORD WOMEN’S CRICKET TEAM 3YO PACE (2100 MS)
David Moran, trainer of Lochinvar Chief, advised the dynamic examination which was undertook by the Ballarat Equine Practice revealed the gelding to have a paralysed arytenoid which Lochinvar Chief underwent larygoplasty (tieback) surgical procedure earlier in the week. Mr Moran advised Lochinvar Chief well now be boxed for the required timeframe prior to being spell.
RACE 7 – TAB CAPTAIN SANDY FREE FOR ALL (2100 MS)
David Aiken, trainer of Reactor Now, advised subsequently from the event blood tests revealed the gelding to have a viral infection. Mr Aiken advised the gelding would be treated accordingly prior to continuing with the current preparation.

RACE 3 – DE BORTOLI PACE (2150 MS)
Tim Butt, trainer of Foregone Conclusion NZ, advised subsequently from the event blood tests revealed the gelding to have a viral infection which the gelding had a lung flush performed and has been spelled.

RACE 3 – ALDEBARAN PARK TROT (2240 MS)
Andy Gath, trainer of Zigzagzoo NZ, advised subsequently from the event blood tests failed to reveal any abnormalities and the gelding has recovered and worked satisfactory since. Mr Gath attributed the performance to the gelding being first up from a spell and would derive benefit from the performance. Mr Gath advised he would continue with the current preparation.
RACE 7 – MELTON TOYOTA PACE (2240 MS)
Kari Males, trainer of Regulus, advised subsequently from the event blood tests failed to reveal any abnormalities with the gelding recovering satisfactorily. Mrs Males attributed the performance to Regulus contacting its shin & tendon boots during the event and failing to compete in a genuine manner thereafter. Mrs Males advised Reguluswill have corrective shoeing prior to starting again.

RACE 9 – DUNSTALLS RURAL SUPPLIES 3YO PACE (2190MS)
Alex Alchin, trainer of Malakie, advised subsequently from the event the filly to have recovered satisfactorily. Mr Alchin could offer no tangible explanation for the performance as blood tests failed to reveal any abnormalities. Mr Alchin advised he will continue with the current preparation and will discuss the immediate preparation with connections if the filly performs below expectations at its next start.

RACE 4 –GAVIN PAHL BUILDERS 3YO MAIDEN PACE (1785 MS)
Shaun McNaulty, trainer of Cocorocks, advisedsubsequently from the event blood tests revealed the gelding to have a viral infection. Mr McNaulty advised Cocorocks will now be treated accordingly prior to continuing with the current preparation.
