HRNSW Stewards remind Trainers that as prescribed under Australian Harness Racing Rule (AHRR) 75 (2) (ll), Trainers are to produce a veterinary certificate stating precisely the reason for the withdrawal at the time of its withdrawal if scratched under veterinary advice.

Australian Harness Racing Rule (AHRR) 75 (2) (ll) states the following:

AHRR 75 (2) (ll). Where a horse is declared to race in a claiming race and is subsequently withdrawn on veterinary advice, the trainer shall at the time of its withdrawal produce a veterinary certificate stating precisely the reason for the withdrawal.

In the event that a Trainer is unable to obtain a veterinary certificate at the time of the scratching and to not further delay the notice of withdrawal, Trainers are advised that they must notify Stewards the details of the scratching.

HRNSW Stewards may make directions to the Trainer as to the further requirements of the veterinary certificate.
