Pinjarra Harness Racing Club Administration, Marketing and Sponsorship Coordinator Sian Hughes is one of the 24,000 participants who is employed or participates in the Western Australian racing industry.

It is because of our industry participants, such as Sian, that we continue to do everything in our power to ensure we can continue to race, safely.

Sian’s role is to manage the club’s administration, sponsorship portfolio, advertising and promotions of race days and feature events, membership database and social media.

“I grew up in harness racing and love horses. I love the people in our sport and I feel very lucky to work in an industry that I’m so passionate about.”

“I really want to see harness racing thrive long into the future. I enjoy introducing new people to the sport, whether as patrons on track, as sponsors, or into horse ownership. We have a great team at Pinjarra Paceway and excellent facilities that are a real asset in our community, which I’m very proud of.”

“Although we’ve had no patrons on-course during the COVID-19 period, here at Pinjarra Paceway it has still been incredibly busy. With weekly racing there has still been a lot going on in the administrative and management capacity.”

“Race days have been quite surreal without patrons on-course, but we look forward to welcoming everyone back on-track.”

Since 16 March 2020, we have been working together as an industry to implement a range of strict bio-security measures to ensure the continuation of racing during COVID-19.

Once again RWWA would like to thank our racing participants for their continuous understanding and support through these uncertain times.

We are in this, TOGETHER.
