Industry Notice - Kingston Express Sulky's

Acting on advice from Human Impact Engineering (HIE), who test and approve sulky’s for the Australian harness racing industry, Harness Racing Australia (HRA) have made the difficult, but important decision to temporarily remove the Kingston Express Sulky from the Approved Sulky list until such time as the manufacturer can make the necessary changes and submit a sulky for successful re-testing by HIE.

Following this, any Kingston Express Sulky which has been used by the industry up until now, will need to be updated in accord with any changes or modifications the manufacturer makes.  Until such time as the sulky is re-approved and the changes made to the existing sulky’s authenticated by Stewards, they are not approved for use.  How and when this happens is a matter between the owners and the manufacturer.

While unfortunate, and an unexpected disruption for some people, the safety of horses and participants is paramount and cannot be compromised.
