Ratings Review Team Meeting

The Ratings Review Team (RRT) today conducted its six month review of the National Ratings Based Handicapping System.

The role of the RRT and the review was to consider the data, proposals and feedback from industry and provide its recommendations to the Harness Racing Australia (HRA) Executive.

The agenda items in the review were as follows:

  • Overview & Data Analysis
  • Industry Feedback
  • Wagering Analysis
  • Juvenile Racing
  • Imports
  • Dropback Points
  • Concessions
  • Races of $2,000 or Less
  • Points for Placings
  • Programming

The recommendations made will now be taken to the HRA Executive on February 10 for consideration.

Vale Wally Marshall
Former Yarrambat born and bred horseman Wally Marshall, who was well known during the Melbourne Showgrounds era, passed on March 21 at age 94. Wally schooled at Yarrambat Primary and then Collingwood Tech before becoming a qualified electrician and poultry farmer.
