NOTICE TO HARNESS RACING PARTICIPANTS- Wednesday 21st March 2018.

RE: Veterinary certificates.

It is a requirement that any veterinary certificate issued for a horse that has been scratched after final acceptances have been declared or has  been stood down from racing pending a veterinary clearance must include the following details;

  1. Name of the horse.
  2. Description of the horse.
  3. Freeze brand.
  4. Date and time that the veterinarian inspected the horse.
  5. Trainers name.

Trainers must provide the Veterinarian undertaking the examination of the horse with the assessment certificate at the time of inspection.

A veterinary received by the Office Of Racing Integrity without the above requirements may result in the certificate not being accepted or processed.

When a horse is a late scratching after 8 a.m on race day and a trainer is submitting  the veterinary certificate to have the 28 day stand-down reduced to ten days the veterinary certificate stating the reason for the scratching  must be received by ORI  within four working days of the race meeting.
