LADBROKES Australian Pacing Gold graduate Shez All Rock provided Mark Pitt with a personal milestone at Menangle earlier tonight.

By reining Shez All Rock to victory in the New South Wales Oaks, Pitt recorded his maiden Group One win as a trainer.

Naturally thrilled with the highlight, Pitt has already set his sights on further top shelf glory with the daughter of Rock N Roll Heaven.

Planning to give Shez All Rock a freshen up, Pitt will then prepare the filly for the Victoria Oaks.

Heats of the Blue Riband are scheduled to be run at Melton on April 21, with the Final the following week.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled,” Pitt said. “To get my first Group One as a trainer is something special.

“I have to thank Emma Stewart and Clayton Tonkin for all the help they have given me with this horse and I also think Mum and Dad deserve some of the credit too. Without them none of this would be possible.

“She will have a short break now, then we’ll be heading towards the Victoria Oaks.”

Settled towards the tail of the field from barrier four, Shez All Rock finished stoutly along the home straight to account for Soho Burning Love and Nostra Villa in 1:54.3.

“This was always going to be a tricky race, but she had a good trip tonight and got the job done,” Pitt said. “I knew she was travelling well down the back, it was just a matter of how well the others were going.”

Shez All Rock boasts four wins – including a Goup Two – and a second from five starts for earnings of $165,750.
