Grand Circuit star Kingman has been named the 2025 Gallagher New South Wales Horse of the Year.

The prestigious honour, determined by a panel of harness racing media representatives, was presented at the Gallagher Harness Racing New South Wales Annual Awards at Menangle Country Club on Sunday.

Bred and raced by Mick Harvey and trained and driven by Luke McCarthy, Kingman enjoyed a standout campaign, winning seven of his 13 starts. His feature victories included the New Zealand Trotting Cup and the Victoria Cup.

In addition to claiming the state’s highest equine honour, Kingman was also recognised as the KS Black & Co NSW Aged Entire/Gelding Pacer of the Year and the Gallagher NSW Aged Horse of the Year.

Meanwhile, spectacular colt Hollywood Strip was crowned the 2025 Gallagher NSW Two-Year-Old of the Year after being unbeaten in five starts including success in the Group 1 NSW Breeders Challenge Final.

Fellow NSW Breeders Challenge Final winner Gunna Reload claimed the 2025 Gallagher NSW Three-Year-Old of the Year title following a stellar season that saw her earn $203,164 in prizemoney.

The Board of Harness Racing New South Wales would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the connections of all award-winning horses and participants for their achievements during a remarkable 2025 season.
