Trainer Jason Grimson.
TOP NSW conditioner Jason Grimson’s long Victorian campaign will end following Saturday night’s major AG Hunter Cup meeting at Melton.
The 29-year-old has a dual attack in the $500,000 feature with I Cast No Shadow and Major Meister.
Grimson will also produce former New Zealand pacer Invitation Only for the first time in his care in the Bonanza, a Chariots Of Fire qualifier.
Grimson arrived in Victoria in November and has won the Inter Dominion with I Cast No Shadow as well as the Cranbourne and Bendigo Cups with Major Meister.
Meanwhile fellow NSW trainer and Team Teal ambassador Belinda McCarthy also has two horses in the AG Hunter Cup with Spirit Of St Louis and Expensive Ego.
Spirit Of St Louis has won his last two starts and is the second favourite for the feature having drawn barrier one. The favourite is dual NZ Cup winner Copy That.
Before McCarthy’s team heads south, the horsewoman has engagements to focus on at Penrith tonight with her two starters R Eleven Art and Mister Fonzi.
