Planned maintenance on the Redcliffe harness racing track will commence this Thursday, May 26, with racing scheduled to recommence on Sunday, June 5.

Remediation of the base and a full track resurface was previously planned, however saturation of the new material due to prolonged wet weather has meant that the supplier of the material is not able to prepare the surface material in time for the planned works.

While the full resurface of the track will be delayed until after the TAB Queensland Constellations, work on the base, which was damaged as a result of flooding in February, will be repaired.

The racing outage will also provide the Club and RQ the opportunity to undertake initial investigative works on the main electrical switchboard, which is being replaced over the coming months.
