Young Bathurst horsewoman McKayler Barnes will head to the track tonight with her pride and joy pacer Kingston Shannon.

Barnes will be hoping for success with six-year-old in a heat of the Regional Championships at Bathurst to secure a spot in the $100,000 final on May 18.

Kingston Shannon was Barnes’ last winner as a trainer when the pair was successful at Dubbo in January.

That victory was the last leg of a hat-trick for Kingston Shannon whom Barnes owns.

Barnes will head to her local track tonight with 70 wins to her credit as a driver.

Barnes’ only winner in the sulky this year has Kingston Shannon.

There are four heats of the Regional Championships tonight.
