Tabcorp Park Melton – 27 April 2021

RACE 8 – EMPIRE STALLIONS PACE (2240 MS)

Shane Sanderson, trainer of Joice Mary, advised subsequently from the event the mare to have recovered satisfactory. Mr Sanderson attributed the performance to the mare striking her near side shin which the mare has done throughout her career. Mr Sanderson advised he will attempt to have further corrective shoeing performed on the mare and if unresolved will give consideration to retiring Joice Mary.

RACE 6 – PHILIP NOTT MEMORIAL VICBRED PACE (2100 MS)

Andy Gath, trainer of Fighting Fire, advised subsequently from the event the gelding to have recovered and worked well since. Mr Gath attributed the performance to the gelding being first up from a spell and would derive benefit from the performance. Mr Gath advised he would continue with the current preparation.

Kilmore– 29 April 2021

RACE 3 – MC LABOUR MAIDEN TROT (2180 MS)

Rodney Petroff, trainer of Theyallendiny, advised subsequently from the event blood tests revealed the gelding displaying a low-grade virus which has been treated accordingly. Mr Petroff advised he would continue with the current preparation.

RACE 6 – JET ROOFING PACE (1690 MS)

Zac Phillips stable representative for Tayla Nicholson, trainer of Dreamers Delight NZ, advised subsequently from the event the mare to have recovered satisfactorily. Mr Phillips attributed the performance to Dreamers Delight NZ drawing outside the second row over the mile with a slow second quarter resulting in the mare being unable to progress into the event with a quick in final half. Mr Phillips advised Dreamers Delight NZ is engaged at Yarra Valley 10 April 2021.

Mildura – 30 April 2021

RACE 1 – EUSTON CLUB MAIDEN PACE (2190 MS)

Luke Watson, trainer of Four Starzzz Ruby, advised subsequently from the event blood tests revealed the filly to have a slightly higher than normal enzyme levels in the liver. Mr Watson added the filly was found to have general soreness over the back region which the filly has received chiropractic therapy.  Mr Watson advised he will continue with the current preparation and Four Starzzz Ruby would not start until he was fully satisfied with the filly.

RACE 5 – TENDERPRINT AUSTRALIA PACE (2190 MS)

Aaron Bain, trainer of Bottle Rock NZ, advised subsequently from the event blood tests revealed the gelding displaying a bacterial infection which has been treated accordingly. Mr Bain advised he would continue with the current preparation.

RACE 5– WASTE SENSE PACE (1720 MS)

Ashleigh Herbertson, trainer of Steel Screens, advised subsequently from the gelding to have recovered and worked satisfactorily. Mr Herbertson attributed the performance to Steel Screens working more than expected at the start and the consistent pressure applied throughout the event which may have resulted in the gelding failing to race in a genuine manner thereafter. Mr Herbertson advised Steel Screens is engaged at Tabcorp Park Melton 8 April 2021.

RACE 9– AUSTRALIAN PACING GOLD (4YO MARES) FINAL (GROUP 1) (1720 MS)

Anna Woodmansey, trainer of Pelosi, advised subsequently from the event blood tests revealed the mare to have elevated enzyme levels. Ms Woodmansey attributed the performance to a combination of the mare being used out of the gate more than usual which the mare has failed to finish off her races on previous occasions along with recent travelling. Ms Woodmansey advised Pelosi has returned to Queensland and will be given a slight let up from racing before continuing with her preparation for the Queensland carnival.

RACE 4– DOWNBYTHESEASIDE STANDING @ WOODLAND STUD PACE (2080 MS)

Joe Borg, trainer of Blue Chipped, advised subsequently from the event the gelding to have recovered satisfactorily. Mr Borg advised he is at a loss to explain the performance and will now give Blue Chipped a freshen up before continuing with the current preparation.
