About Us
Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) is responsible for the control, development and promotion of the harness racing industry in Victoria. We run around 450 race meetings per year at 26 tracks throughout Victoria.
The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Account to support our Finance team with financial management of all entities within the HRV group.
You will provide assistance with:
- Monthly management & departmental reports
- Monthly forecast and annual budgets
- Maintenance of the general ledger & asset register
- Monitor departmental performance against budget
- Year-end statutory accounts & Annual Report.
About You
Ideally, you will be a recent graduate accountant with 1-2 years’ of work experience. You will be a professional, with a positive outlook & proactive approach to your work. Possessing at least intermediate Excel skills, your communication skills both verbal and written will be excellent. Well organised, self-motivated and have completed your accounting qualifications.
Knowledge of the hospitality or racing industry would also be highly regarded.
