NEW LOCAL RULE
In accordance with the provision of Rule 19 Australian Handicapping Rules, Harness Racing SA Limited has introduced the following local rule:
Any horse that wins a Career (C) event in South Australia from 1 September 2009, shall not incur a Graduation (R) penalty if the horse’s Graduation (R) assessment is greater than its Career (C) assessment for future races in South Australia.
EXAMPLES
C2 - R3 wins a Career Class - C2 front event in South
Australia, the horse graduates to: C3 - R3
C2 - R3 wins a Graduation Class – R3 front event in
South Australia, the horse graduates to: C2 - R4
The local rule is effective as at 1 September 2009 and will be reassessed by HRSA on or before 1 March 2010.
