Super TAB punters are set to chase a massive windfall tonight with a lucrative Quaddie jackpot on offer at Moonee Valley.
Punters failed to land the prize last night at Kilmore, with a pool of almost $50,000 set to carry over to the nation’s premier venue tonight.
That pool is expected to top $200,000 by the time the field sets sail in the first leg at 8.30pm (AEST).
Tonight’s Moonee Valley Quaddie will be conducted on Races 4 –7, which runs from 8.30pm thru until 10pm.
The first leg features a host of Alabar Victoria Derby contenders with leading chances given to Same Old Macray (1), Artificial (4), Baltic Ice (6), Crafty Dennis (7) and Simon B Anvil (8) in what looks a terrific contest to kick start the treasure hunt.
The second leg has been billed as a clash between Australian Derby winner Im Yosemite Sam (3) and the flying machine Future Assets (5). The connections of reigning Vicbred champion Safari Breeze (4), the talented Regal Dash (7) and stylish first-up winner Power Of Santa Fe (2) are bound to have other ideas though and rightly so given their current form.
Casey Classic winner Albert Kelly (6) is an odds-on elect in the third and looks the logical option for those looking for an anchor. But it won’t be all a one-way street for the Chris Alford-trained and driven speedster with last start Shepparton Cup runner-up Poppys Boy (8), George Johnson winner Billabong Girl (7), Kiwi import Jagged Account (5) and the Group 1-winning Dee Dees Dream (4) all capable of delivering a knockout blow.
The final leg is an intriguing contest with boom horse and pre-race favourite Penny Veejay (7) [pictured] drawn the extreme gate and coming off a last start flop in the Shepparton Cup. He’s a must for your Quaddies though, as too are Ally Luvzit (1), Coiffeuse (2), Flaming Roadstar (4) and Immortal Quest (9) amongst others in a leg that could provide some added value.
