SUPER SATURDAY IS BACK PLUS MORE $10,000 RACES

It’s back again, the popular $10,000 Super Saturday is programmed for Saturday 31st October 2020.

Following on from the success of the August and September feature Super Saturday’s, Harness Racing SA today advised that a third instalment will run in October. The initiative which is designed to reward participants actively supporting harness racing in SA, with greater opportunities and earning capabilities.

However, while the Super Saturday will undoubtedly be the highlight, it is not the only feature of the month, Saturday 17th October will also provide enhanced stakemoney, including both $9,000 and $10,000 races. The meeting on the 17th October will include feature stakemoney opportunities for those horses assessed at the lower end of the handicap scale. All these initiatives are aimed at ensuring those participating and directly contributing to the industry in the state are adequately rewarded.

HRSA Chairman George Fiacchi commented: “As a Board we have a long term goal to hold more races with prizemoney levels at $10,000. This is designed to directly reward those loyal to racing in South Australia and assist in growing the local industry. The new initiative is a direct result of our industry racing forum held a few months ago.” “While our wagering is up, thanks to hosting additional meetings at Port Pirie we will continue to invest in the industry and drive prizemoney up.”
