Trainer Vanessa Brockman has notched up a double at Pinjarra this afternoon, with both her runners on the nine race card saluting.

Rockin Jetstar and Auckland Jet were both well fancied to take out their respective events this afternoon and the pair both turned in impressive displays.

Rockin Jetstar had been placed twice in three career starts in the lead up to today’s Regency Foods 3YO Westbred Pace (2185m) but wasn’t to be denied at his fourth start.

Reinsman Chris Lewis went straight to the pegs from barrier 11 as race favourite All Aussie Mach held the lead from barrier one.

The three-year-old gelding then moved up stylishly three-wide on the final lap and was the widest runner coming to the home turn.

Rockin Jetstar was able to run down All Aussie Mach and Hesacharmer over the concluding stages to score comfortably by 1.9m and ran home in 58.3.

The second leg of Brockman’s double came up with Auckland Jet in the Pinjarra Golf Club Pace (2185m).

The gelding entered this afternoon’s event off the back of a win at Bunbury last Friday night and continued on his winning ways scoring by 3.1m to Medieval Man and Party Boy Freddy.

Chris Voak sent the Auckland Reactor gelding to the breeze as the field got the bell and outlasted race favourite and race leader Party Boy Freddy in 1.59.9.

After winning the Group 1 Pearl Classic on Friday night, trainers Greg and Skye Bond enjoyed a winning double on the program with Be Rock Hard and Rebel With A Grin both saluting.

Be Rock Hard, a half-brother to star Free-For-All pacer Vampiro, broke through for his first win at just his second career start.

Meanwhile, 26 three-year-old fillies have been nominated for this Friday’s Group 1 Westbred Classic at Gloucester Park.

Double Expresso headlines the list of nominations for the $100,000 feature, while Sports Package, Fifty Five Reborn, Blockjorg and Star Fromthepalace are also in the nominations.

The colts and geldings Westbred Classic is headlined by Pearl Classic winner Gardys Legacy, while Longreach Bay, Poised To Pounce and Adda Pocket Rinse also feature in the nominations.
