STABLEMATES Nevada Yankee and Eastbro Adele selected an opportune time to break their maiden status.
Competing at Globe Derby during the weekend, the duo captured the Lord and Ladyship Stakes for trainer Bec East.
"They have both been racing well and deserve to get a win on the board," East said. "I felt they both had solid chances going into the race.
"They picked up their bonus with the wins too, which is great."
Driven by premiership leading reinsman Ken Rogers, Nevada Yankee oustayed his rivals after racing in the 'death seat'.
Proving too strong over 1800 metres, Nevada Yankee registered a metre-and-a-half win from the pacemaker, Juddy Douglas, with Whats Stanley Got a metre-and-a-half away third.
"On his work I knew he would run a good race and it was terrific to see him win the way he did," East said.
"That will see him out for the season and he will go for a good break now."
The son of Shadyshark Hanover rated 1:58.5, with his time two seconds quicker than Eastbro Adele.
With Jayson Finnis holding the reins, Eastbro Adele also raced in the breeze before scoring from Fairiesdelight and Dougs Cino.
"I'm very happy with her run," East said. "She'll also head to the paddock now, so it's a great way to finish her season."
