Glenn Douglas and Chris Alford yesterday had their objections against recent suspensions heard by the HRV Appeals Panel.

Douglas’s appeal against a six week suspension for driving Aragorn in an unacceptable manner at Bendigo on August 13 was dismissed, but two weeks of the sentence were suspended for a period of six months.

Douglas will commence his four week suspension at midnight this Saturday.

Alford’s appeal against a two week suspension for excessive whip use at Kilmore on August 25 was dismissed, but the penalty varied to one week and a $500 fine.

Alford commenced his one week suspension at midnight last night.
