VIC - Industry Notice - Gear, Equipment and Licence Compliance Checks

Participants in the Victorian Harness Racing industry are advised to ensure that their gear and equipment is approved for use by Harness Racing Australia (HRA) and is also in satisfactory condition for the use in races and trials.

Licences

Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Stewards further advise industry participants that various compliance checks of gear/equipment and licensing requirements will be conducted in the immediate and foreseeable future.

Gear/equipment and compliance checks will include, however are not limited to:

  • Horse gear and equipment (harness, sulkies etc.);

  • Driver gear and equipment (body protector (vest), helmet, whip)

  • Licence verification of personnel performing licensed activities.

HRV Stewards expect the full co-operation of industry participants when these checks are being performed and any person found to be in breach of the applicable AHRR may be penalised.
