RISING Stars champion Ellen Rixon is the newly appointed ambassador for the New South Wales Standardbred Owners Association (NSWSOA).

Rixon, the daughter of trainer-drivers Peter and Cindy Rixon as well as the granddaughter of the legendary A.D. Turnbull, is currently ranked as one of the leading reinswomen in New South Wales this season.

With this opportunity, the 18-year-old will be raising money for a charity of her choice.

“We look forward to working with Ellen over the next 12 months, especially when the bonus races which start on August 24 as Ellen will travel to all the venues and will be available to drive at each meeting,” the NSWSOA Vice President Daniel Cordina said.

“During the series of bonus races, if Ellen drives any winners we will donate $50 per win to a charity of her choice.”
