Your horse could not only join superstar two-year-old Im Stately on an illustrious list, but connections could also win a free service to the Loddon Valley Stud stallion.

Next Thursday’s The Maori Legend for two-year-old trotters offers $14,000 in stakes plus a service to Im Stately, who won the feature race in 2013 amid a stunning two-year-old season.

“Im Stately won the race a few years ago and his win will go down as one of the greatest wins of The Maori Legend,” club president Geoff Sanderson said.

“This race has been run since 2005 and was a lead-up race for Redwood Day and is now a good lead up for the Breeders Crown races.”

Mr Sanderson said the club was grateful Loddon Valley Stud had offered the free service to Im Stately as part of the winning prize package, providing access to the 2013 Australian two-year-old trotter of the year.

Meeting sponsor Hygain will also gift a free bag of horse feed to those who run in the top three of all the day’s races.

Mr Sanderson said the feature day should only build on the good vibes at the track, buoyed by its recent half-a-million dollar upgrade.

“With the new track upgrade we have seen the number horses attending our race meeting grow with trainers and drivers all saying the extra camber and new surface is much better to race on.”
