Australian Nominee for Best Photography Section - Ashlea Brennan's "Lennytheshark"
Harness Racing Australia (HRA) today announced the Australian nominations that will advance to compete as part of the International Media Awards to be determined at the World Trotting Conference, hosted by Standardbred Canada in August 2017.
Nominations were requested in March covering nine categories with the successful representatives selected via a combination of critical assessment against the criteria by the HRA judging panel who vote on the national awards annually and popular opinion via on-line voting.
Following this process, it has been determined that Australia will be represented in seven of the nine categories, with the following nominees advancing:

The trial of public voting was enthusiastically embraced and given its success; a similar process will be introduced for the national awards, as it provided a great opportunity for nominees to once again showcase their works, and for the industry to celebrate such depth and diversity of talent.
