CONNECTIONS of in-form mare We Love This City will head to Globe Derby tomorrow night full of confidence despite the tough task that awaits the mare.

Successful at her last two starts, We Love This City will tackle a BOTRA Series heat, where she has drawn the widest of six runners.

Along with the tough draw, the daughter of Grinfromeartoear faces strong opposition, including Queen Of Sharkz and Hilltop Sophia.

Despite the hurdles trainer Aaron Brown believes We Love This City can extend her winning streak.

“It’s not going to be easy, but she is going well enough to come out on top,” Brown said. “It’s only a small field, so no matter where she settles from barrier six, she is still going to be within striking distance.

“Over 2230 metres it’s likely she will be ease out of the mobile before going around them at some stage.

“Queen Of Sharkz is the one to beat and has the right draw, so it will be interesting to see how it pans out.”

Hoping to qualify the four-year-old for the BOTRA Final, Brown will then take We Love This City interstate.

“She is New South Wales bred, so I’ll be looking to head over to pick up a race with her there,” Brown said. “Once she does that, I will find something suitable or may even send her for a spell.”
