BOTRA Tasmania is conducting a raffle to raise funds to assist Shane Boon and his family.

Shane was involved in a race fall at Devonport on Boxing Night last year. His recovery is slow and painful and he continues to face many health related challenges.

BOTRA Tasmania has liaised with Shane regularly since the accident and with the support of Yirribee Pacing Stud (Wagga NSW), Roberts Limited and local trainers Geoff Smith and Ben Yole a fundraising raffle is now underway.

First prize is a free service to Yirribee Pacing Stud stallion Caribbean Blaster (Stud Fee $2,750) and second prize is a $200 Fuel Voucher donated by Geoff Smith. Roberts Limited and Ben Yole are providing other prizes.

Tickets are $10 each and can be obtained from any BOTRA Tasmania committee member. The raffle is limited to 250 tickets and will be drawn at the Launceston harness meeting on Friday night 26 May.

Furthermore, BOTRA Tasmania welcomes any donations which will be passed onto Shane Boon and his family to assist them during this difficult period.

Any inquiries should be directed to David Hayes at kimberley92@bigpond.com .
