Lumineer provides the McDowall family with their greatest moment in harness racing

For the small time stable that dreams of taking on the big guns, last Saturday night's Ladbrokes APG Final should have provided plenty of hope.

In the five seasons leading into 2016/17, Warnambool based trainer Ange McDowall had only trained 43 runners, for a combined total of nine wins and 16 placings, and $53,000 in earnings.

However, thanks to a $30,000 purchase from the 2016  APG Melbourne Sale, Ange McDowall and the entire McDowall clan are sitting on top of the world, after their colt, Lumineer, streeted the opposition to take home the $322,000 Ladbrokes APG 2yo Colts & Geldings Final last saturday night.

Ladbrokes APGTV was on hand at Menangle to capture all the excitement from the evening, including pre-race interviews with a number of the key connections and post-race interviews with the excited owners.

Highlights from the evening are below, with further videos available on Ladbrokes APGTV which can be accessed by clicking here.
