Victorian excitement machine The Warp Drive (pictured) has been installed a warm favourite for Saturday night's $450,000 Hankook Tyres Hunter Cup at Moonee Valley after drawing perfectly in gate two.

?

The Phillip Chircop-trained pacer has been a revelation this season winning the Group 1 Tasmanian Pacing Championship and the Group 2 Geelong Cup at his most recent appearances, and now sits atop TAB Sportsbet's Cup market at $3.25.

?

Whilst happy to be preparing the popular elect, Chircop will head into battle with the knowledge that no favourite has won the prestigious marathon since Vics Vance in 1996.

?

The elite field for the world's richest handicap harness race was announced earlier today with the inclusion of renowned Cup specialist Mont Denver Gold, a winner in 2003 and runner-up 12 months ago, the biggest talking point.

?

The former Victorian Horse of the Year was considered a borderline contender by many experts, but will now get his chance to become the sixth multiple Hunter Cup winner.

?

Joining him in that category is defending champion Mister DG who will be out to emulate the deeds of his mother, Blossom Lady, who won back-to-back Cups in 1994-95.?

?

The field for the $450,000 Hankook Tyres Hunter Cup (3050m), to be run at 9.40pm (AEST) this Saturday at Moonee Valley under standing start conditions, is;
