Lance Justice is again the president of the Victorian Trainers and Drivers Association.

The new Victorian Trainers and Drivers Association committee met on March 15, with election of office bearers the first item of business.

The Association issued the following media release:

On 15th March the first meeting of the new committee of the VTDA was held. The first item of business was the election of the executive committee. Lance Justice will continue as President, Greg Sugars and John Hallam were elected to Vice President positions and Steve Warren continues as Secretary/Treasurer.

The main agenda items discussed at length were the proposed whip ban, change of tactics rule and  the handicapping system/race programming. A sub committee of trainers and drivers has been formed to develop a submission to HRA and HRV on handicapping and race programming. Any members who would like to convey their thoughts regarding race programming, please contact any member of the committee or email Steve Warren on vtda@bigpond.net.au.

Also discussed at length were the VTDA position on the proposed whip ban and the current change of tactics rule. A response to these 2 issues will reflect the sentiments expressed by the members at the general meeting held in December.

The VTDA Facebook page is to be updated and will be available to members only with an alternative national industry FB page available for all participants to continue open discussion on industry matters. A full report will be available shortly on the new 'members only' VTDA Facebook page.
