Team Teal dominated Saturday night’s Globe Derby Park meeting winning seven of the eight races.

Champion reinswoman Danielle Hill led the way with four winners while Angela Chapman, Lisa Ryan and Kaela Hryhorec chipped in with a win each.

The wins mean the Women’s Cancer Foundation picked up $700 from Harness Racing South Australia and a matching amount from Ubet.

Hill also earned an extra $80 from her personal sponsor Carter Racing taking the contribution to $300. During the promotion, she is wearing the stable colours of Gordon Carter, a thoroughbred trainer.

The wins take the SA tally to $4800 from 24 wins of which Danielle Hill has earned $3000 with 15 of those wins.

Hill will be missing from Globe Derby Park this Saturday night as she will be competing in an Invitation race at Menangle.

The Team Teal promotion promotes an awareness and raises funds for Ovarian Cancer research. It will conclude on Saturday, March 11 but it is hoped during the six-week campaign a large amount of money can be raised to assist clinical research possible through the funding of research nurses.

Clinical research is vital for finding new treatments for gynaecological cancers and improving patient care, and research nurses are at the forefront of the process.

Angela Chapman started the night off with new stable addition Wilusi Blues.

Claimed by New South Wales owner Vaughan De Filippi earlier in the month, Wilusi Blues was a $53.40 chance and charged home late to win the Ubet Claiming Pace (1800m).

Danielle Hill started her night with a victory on Hapenny ($22.40) for trainer Mel Bagnato, who was at Menangle through his transport business, in the PFD Food Services Pace (2230m).

Sheluvsme ($1.60 fav), trained by Les Harding, led throughout in the Maughan Thiem Ford Ranger Pace (1800m) to give Hill a double.

Lisa Ryan chipped in with the heavily backed Dont Tell William ($5.50 into $2.60 fav) in the Trotsguide.Com.Au Kindergarten Stakes Prelude (1800m) for her husband, Toby, the two-year-old’s trainer.

Kaela Hryhorec was the next Team Teal member scoring on Emerging Art ($12.30) for trainer Nick Tardio in the Schweppes Australia Pace, heat one (1800m).

Danielle Hill drove her third winner when Baking Hot ($2 favourite) won the Lion Dairy & Drinks Trotters Handicap (2230m) bringing up a double for trainer Les Harding.

Her fourth winner was Official Art ($2 favourite) for trainer Jon Kingston-Mayne in the SAHRC & HRSA Pace, heat two (1800m).

The sole male to drive a winner was Darren Billinger who landed Futurist in the DPR Insurance Brokers Pace (2230m).
