A massive buzz is building at Globe Derby Park with the exciting announcement that they have secured the highly respected speaker and harness racing identity, Dean Baring.  Dean is the driving force behind the immensely successful and totally independent harness racing site www.harnessbred.com and the breeder’s bible, Testmating, the breeding program that all the major studs subscribe to and make available to their clients free of charge.

Dean, will be speaking at Globe Derby Park this Saturday night the 11th February, so all racing participants can discuss trends, what’s driving the upswing in yearling sales, who’s leading the sport, who’s falling behind, successful patterns, myths and the common mistakes made by breeders and by people investing in yearlings from our yearling sales for around Australia.

For those who are unaware, Dean, along with APG general manager David Boydell, are the master minds behind the new APG yearling sales online guide and the industry smash hit APG TV. This is an opportunity for people that  love the sport of harness racing, a night like this should not be missed. Dean along with his organisations have been massive supporters of harness racing in South Australia and he has a very strong commitment to help drive the sport in a better direction.

When contacted today about this announcement, a spokesperson for SA BOTRA, said they delighted that organisations like Harnessbred.com continue to support and show a strong interest in harness racing in South Australia.

Testmating’s breeding program generates about 150,000 pedigrees a year from Australia and New Zealand and has the most complete data base in the world.  Pedigrees and results go back to the 1600’s for Standardbreds and it’s this centralisation of all information that Dean has offered to share in part with the people at Globe Derby Park.

Dean will be available to provide the latest information on pedigrees of all twenty-six yearlings in the Harnessbred SA 2017 yearling sales.  When contacted today he stated “I am so looking forward to catching up with all the keen followers of the sport who will be present on Saturday night.  It’s clear that this state, like all in Australia, have some serious challenges ahead, however Harnessbred.com is  committed to helping its participants and members to achieve the best return on their investment of time and resources in this great sport we love”.
