INDUSTRY NOTICE

In a further effort to promote mares racing and to give concession drivers further opportunities in South Australia, the HRSA Board have approved the adoption of a local rule whereby a mares allowance can be utilised in conjunction with a drivers concession. This local rule will come into effect for meetings in South Australia from 10 February 2017.

The “Double Lift” will be possible in the following races:
 

  •  A mobile race containing a single class for races with a front of C1, T1, R1 or TR1 or faster;
  •  A mobile race containing two classes for races with a front of C3,T3, R3 or TR3 or faster;
  •  A mobile race containing three or more classes for races with a front of C3,T3, R3 or TR3 or faster, where the mare is already eligible for the race before utilizing a drivers concession; and
  • A standing start handicap if the mare is assessed M3, TM3, C3, T3, R3 or TR3 or faster.
