Connections of Jilliby Kung Fu have advised Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) this afternoon that Jilliby Kung Fu has suffered a cut leg in training and will not be able to take its place in Saturday Night’s blue riband event.  As such Jilliby Kung Fu has been scratched from the Victoria Derby Final.

At the 8.30am acceptance time this morning for the race, the field for the Victoria Derby was declared by HRV as follows:  Astride, Be Jacks Legend NZ, Blue Moon Rising NZ, Emain Macha, Jilliby Kung Fu, Motu Meteor NZ, Our Little General, Rocknroll Icon, The Defiant, Vincent, Wrappers Delight, You Gotta Have Faith NZ,  Wardan Express (Emergency).

The scratching of Jilliby Kung Fu therefore paves the way for the emergency Wardan Express to take its place in the field.

The Barrier Draw for the 12 competing runners in the Victoria Derby Final will take place at a function at the MCG later this evening.

Harness Racing Victoria's Trots Media team will bring you all the action as it happens via @HRVnews on Twitter and HRV Facebook.

Later tonight tune into SEN Radio's Evenings with Mark Fine after 11pm to hear Cody Winnell and Michael Howard bring you the barrier draw news. Listen via 1116am on your radio or visit www.sen.com.au to stream over the web.
