New Home; Pub Blitz has entered the stables of Ken Rattray.

The pacer affectionately known as Dexter, aka Destreos has a new stablemate.

Recently entering the stables of Ken Rattray is the richly talented Pub Blitz.

A winner of 25 races and with more than $360,000 in prizemoney, the veteran gelding has found his way to the Jimboomba stables of Rattray and his partner Sally Stingel.

Pub Blitz was previously raced by Leigh Wanless.

“He’s a great addition to my stables and a great partner for Dex given that Funny Boy is in Sydney with James (Rattray). He hasn’t raced for some time but Leigh has done plenty of foundation work with him and he arrived in good order, we can’t thank Leigh enough.” Rattray said.

The Cammibest gelding last raced in South Australia when fifth behind Machtavish at Port Pirie just over twelve months ago.

Throughout his career, Pub Blitz has had stints with Leigh and James Wanless, Mark McNee and Paul Fitzpatrick.

His biggest victories came via the 2012 Gr.3 $40,000 Kevin Robinson Cup at Menangle and the 2011 Gr.3 $30,000 QBRED Breeders Classic 4yo Final at the Gold Coast.

Feature race placings have come via the Queensland Pacing Championship, Inter Dominion heat, Australia Day Cup, Brian Hancock Cup, NSW Winter Cup, Charity Cup Final and the 2yo QBRED Triad and Breeders Classic Finals.

He was an unlucky 4th behind Mah Sish in the 2013 Hunter Cup at Melton.

Pub Blitz is expected to trial within the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Destreos has his second run back from a layoff on Saturday night at Albion Park in the Mercedes Benz Toowong Open Pace over the 1660m distance.

Destreos has drawn gate four.

“I was thrilled with his first-up effort; he showed brilliant gate speed to lead and his condition gave out over the concluding stages. He’s trained on really well so we’re hopeful of a good showing.

“There looks to be plenty of speed drawn to our inside so that makes it quite tricky, If we had drawn the inside gate I would’ve been much more confident.”

Destreos holds the record for most victories at Albion Park; he has won 68 races at the state’s premier harness track.
