ASTUTE trainer Greg Norman hopes promising mare Just Rockon Bye can end and begin the year on the same note - winning!

Racing in sensational form, Just Rockon Bye will contest a series heat at Globe Derby on Saturday night - New Year’s Eve.

Should all go according to plan, the daughter of Christian Cullen will return to the same venue on January 7 for the Final.

“She is in top form, winning her last six starts, and hopefully that can continue to some time yet,” Norman said.

“This series is vcery suitable for her and she should be able to make a good go of it.

“Drawing the second row isn't ideal, but it is what it is and we have to do our best to overcome it.”

Should Just Rockon Bye continue her imposing form, Norman will take the four-year-old to Melbourne in a bid to secure a metropolitan victory.

“I couldn’t be happier with the way she has come along,” Norman said. “She wasn’t an expensive buy and is doing a great job.

“With the way she is going, I can’t see any reason why she won’t win an M0.”
