Trainer David Aiken and connections of Lennytheshark received a major boost with the reigning Inter Dominion champion displaying significant improvement over the past 24 hours.

Lennytheshark’s bid for back-to-back wins in the $1.1 Inter Dominion final at Gloucester Park on Friday has been in grave doubt since he pulled up sore in last week’s final round of heats.

X-rays yesterday cleared Lennytheshark of any structural issues but a vet inspection by Racing and Wagering Western Australia’s (RWWA) Judith Medd, found the seven-year-old to be sore in the near foreleg.

However; in a big turnaround and what shapes as positive news for one of the Inter Dominion’s major drawcards, Lennytheshark is showing continual improvement after his troublesome abscess was released.

The seven-year-old, one of the leading fancies in harness racing’s showcase Inter Dominion final on Friday night, will hopple work tomorrow morning before undergoing another RWWA vet inspection on Thursday.
