Sunday’s Central Goldfields Shire Maryborough Gold Cup is leg two of the Trots Country Cups Championship for 2016-17.

The $30,000, 2690-metre Group 3 has attracted a stellar field, headlined by reigning Trots Country Cups Championship winner Yankee Rockstar.

Leading trainer Emma Stewart joined Trots Talk tonight across Victoria on Sportsday to chat with Cody Winnell and Michael Howard about her Rockstar, plus stablemate Maryborough Cup contenders Major Secret and Young Modern.

Maryborough Club president Les Chapman also joined the panel for a chat, Michael Guerin caught up with Ararat reinsman Michael Bellman in 2 Minutes with Mick, Blake Redden gave us the Good Form Good Thing and Tony Leonard and Terry Wallace continued tipping for the Good Friday Appeal courtesy of TAB.com.au in the Charity Tipoff.
