The Albion Park Harness Racing Club is where punters need to focus this Saturday night.
And gambling giant UBET is offering plenty of reasons to do your homework.
A guaranteed $200,000 trifecta pool is being staged on the opening event, the UBET Jackpots Galore Pace over 2138m which also carries a $50,000 jackpot.
Yes, a guaranteed $200,000 trifecta pool!
And a strong field has been assembled with three last start winners lining-up while several others will appreciate a slight drop back in class.
Simply Gorgeous, Fioki and Bettabe Perfect all scored decisive victories at their most recent starts and will command plenty of respect from their favourable front-line draws.
Albion Park course commentator Chris Barsby is expecting a keenly contested event and believes the race boasts several winning hopes owing to the barrier draw.
“This promises to be a real tactical battle with several stables strongly represented and some of the state’s best drivers also adding to the mystery of this event. As we know, barrier draws are vital and more so on the Saturday night circuit so I’m looking at the well-drawn Fioki as a good option to play for this trifecta bet type.” Barsby said.
Fioki is one of three runners engaged in this race from the leading stables of Grant Dixon; the well-traveled pacer scored a stylish victory last week after racing wide over the concluding stages.
Again, Mathew Neilson is booked to partner the Jeremes Jet gelding.
“The winning effort last week was impressive in more ways than one; he covered ground over the latter stages while still clocking very good sectionals and the form has been franked with Our Pacquiao racing well since. The conditions are very similar again while Neilson has options from his handy draw.
“I’m expecting a solid tempo throughout and Fioki proved last week he can follow a genuine pace so he’s got good options. I think his effort last week gives him another excellent chance in this race.
“With so many runners having claims in this race, I think working your combinations around Fioki might be the best option. With the pool easily set to exceed $200,000 – this is a good race to be getting involved in with a trifecta combo or two.”
The first of 10 races is scheduled to start at 5.38pm.
