Mohawk Racetrack, Ontario, Canada takes centre stage on Saturday night (Sunday in Australia) with the running of the Canadian Trotting Classic and the Maple Leaf Trot – and both will be broadcast on Sky Racing.

Race 7, the AUD$640,000 Maple Leaf Trot (11:30 a.m. AEST) for open class trotters has a real European flavour.

Resolve, who competed in the Elitlopp earlier in the year, led throughout in his elimination in 1:51.1 for hall of famer John Campbell.

Yannick Gingras, who featured in the 2016 International All Stars Series in Victoria took out elimination 2 on the USA mare Hannelore Hanover.

Hannelore Hanover has won 14 of 15 starts this season and now has career earnings of more than a million dollars.
