30 August 2016

For the commencement of the 2016/17 Victorian harness racing season, Trainers participating in the Victorian harness racing industry, are able to access and complete the relevant documentation for a licensed person to be a declared representative in their absence. This involves completing an ‘Authorised Representative For Trainer Declaration’ and ‘Trainer Authority For Representative Declaration’ for a defined period and lodging it with the Harness Racing Victoria Integrity Department. This documentation needs to be renewed for the 2016/17 harness racing season.

In the instance where neither the trainer, nor the declared representative is in attendance, notification to the Stewards of the licensed representative in attendance, will be required to be declared in writing or by completing the ‘Register of Authorised Representatives’ form at the applicable racemeeting.

Please note that any such declaration does not relieve the trainer of his or her responsibilities under the Australian Harness Racing Rules with regard to the administration and conduct of their stable or the presentation of horses free of prohibited substances.

The documentation is located at - http://www.hrv.org.au/integrity/forms/trainer-representative-forms/

Completed forms can be forwarded to the Integrity Department via email at info@hrv.org.au, Fax: 03 9214 0696 or completed and provided to HRV Stewards at a racemeeting.

If any further information is required in relation to this notice, please contact the Harness Racing Victoria Integrity Department on 8378 0222.
