THE largest bet recorded with TAB on a New South Wales harness racing event this week was a $4000 wager at $1.55 on the Trevor White-trained Always In Command which won at Wagga on Tuesday night by six metres.

Other large winning bets (stake) were:

$3500 @ $1.40 BBS INSPIRATION – Bathurst July 13

$3100 @ $1.7 SIMPLY CLEVER – Wagga July 19

$3000 @ $1.8 MAJORDAN – Menangle July 19

The best return of the week was won by a punter that placed $400 at $8 on Justa Dale to win at Tabcorp Park Menangle on Tuesday. Trained by Kevin Pizzuto and driven by Brendan Barnes the gelding won by a mere neck.

Other large winning bets (return) were:

$734 @ $3.8 KYALLA DAVE – Dubbo July 17

$550 @ $4.8 MISS ARTISTIC TARA – Menangle July 16

$325 @ $9 GOLOVKIN – Penrith July 14

An extra two-and-a-half metres was all one punter needed to earn of the $2700 at $1.80 they had on He Can Fly at Menangle on Tuesday. The Jarrod Alchin-prepared pacer finished second to Carter Bromac.

Some of the other largest losing bets were:

$2000 @ $2.3 ABSOLUTION – Menangle July 18

$1800 @ $2.8 CHICKIES BOY – Wagga July 19

$1500 @ $2.6 PERSIMMON – Wagga July 19

Meanwhile, one punter had big hopes for B D Windemere at Bathurst last Wednesday night, however, the $500 at $6 they had did not give them any enjoyment as the mare galloped out of the gate.

Other large losing bets (potential return) were:

$350 @ $10 EL CHANGO – Menangle July 18

$350 @ $7 COLONEL JOY – Menangle July 19

$300 @ $14 IM TONDELEYO – Menangle July 19
