QLD - Separation of Integrity Department from Racing Queensland

Effective from 1 July, 2016 the Queensland Integrity Department including Licencing and Registration will become a separate entity to Racing Queensland.

The new entity will be known as the Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC).

QRIC Responsibilities

  • All Stewarding matters

  • Loading of horse offences

  • Offences individual offences (fines, suspensions, reprimands, disqualifications)

  • Appeals & loading of appeal results

  • Stable returns

  • Late gear changes (after driver deadline must be approved by Stewards)

  • Late scratchings (after 8:30am scratching deadline only) Stewards in control of race meeting for all matters after 8:30am scratching deadline

  • Tactic Information (May vary tactics)

  • Authority To Nominate for Claiming Race Forms

  • Application for changes in gait

  • Application to race unhoppled

  • Veterinary Clearances / Certificates

  • Proof of Breakdown Certificates

  • Race Starters & Starting Procedure

  • Judges

  • Licencing of participants

  • Registration including Foal notification, Sire Registration, Service Certificates, Transfer of Ownership, Lease, Naming Applications, Colour Registration and renewal, Syndicate Registration and Imports.

  • Lodgement of Claims (for Claiming races)

  • All Operational Matters

  • Club Compliance
