RACE 1 - DNR LOGISTICS VICBRED PACE (1720 MS)
Emma Stewart, trainer of Teixeira, has reported that blood tests and a lung wash conducted revealed abnormalities requiring treatment with antibiotics. Ms Stewart advised Teixeira will now be given a freshen up.
RACE 8 - EMPIRE STALLIONS VICBRED PLATINUM HOME GROWN CLASSIC (2YO COLTS & GELDINGS) FINAL (GROUP 2) (1720 MS)
Craig Demmler, trainer of Somebeachsomeshadow, has advised that blood tests and a full veterinary examination have failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Mr Demmler further added that the colt will now be given a freshen up.
Craig Turnbull, trainer of Our Uncle Sam, has advised that blood tests taken subsequent to the disappointing performance failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Mr Turnbull advised the gelding has worked well since with the intention to trial Our Uncle Sam at Melton on 24 May 2016.

David Murphy, trainer of Eyes Shut, has reported that blood tests conducted subsequent to the disappointing performance revealed the gelding to be displaying signs of tying up.

RACE 7 - ANYTIME FITNESS MELTON PACE (2240 MS)
Sonya Smith, trainer of Mister Hairy Maclary NZ, has reported that the gelding pulled up showing signs of a virus which has been treated. Ms Smith also added that in her opinion Mister Hairy Maclary NZ may have failed to back up after racing on 7 May 2016.
